Instructed One Lab Section — Fall Semester 2013

Under the Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Scholarship, I had the opportunity to take a graduate course on the Reformed Teaching Method with Dr. Julie Monet, and to instruct a model lab section in introductory environmental science for non-majors. I worked hard to tie the content of the lab to things my students could relate to in real life, and to expose them to environmental challenges in rural and urban areas posed by changing population and consumption patterns. Below, I’ve provided samples of some of the materials I developed, and a copy of the formal teaching evaluation I received from a faculty member in my department.

* The scientific notation section of this activity is not my work. It appeared in an earlier edition of the laboratory manual, and the author is unknown.
